Mental Edge!

Whether it’s school bullies, peer pressure to use drugs, dating violence or campus shooting sprees, those with The Mental Edge are the ones who have the best chance to make decisive and speedy decisions for self-defense!

Cho Seung-Hui, the Virginia Tech. Murderer, reportedly spent nearly 200 rounds to kill 9 people on one of his sprees. That’s about 20 bullets per person! This tells us that his angry, frustrated thinking was confused to the point that he couldn’t even aim straight. Someone with The Mental Edge may have been able to end this rampage before it was a massacre.

On Tuesday March 18, 2008 Shaun Hebert slipped and fell into a creek and was swept away by the fast moving water and sucked into a drainage tunnel. Shaun did not survive. In his honor, a disadvantaged child will be sponsored for lessons at Texas Freestyle Karate. Financial donations may be made to Mr. Rick Hardy for the

Shaun Hebert Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Shaun loved martial arts, he always had a smile on his face when he came to class, and he was a very polite and respectful young man. Shaun loved to make people laugh and he was an awesome student.

~About Us~

Texas Freestyle Karate is a Charter School of American Street Karate (or ASK) that is an eclectic system which takes the application of techniques from all available arts and incorporates them into a training mentality of survival.  The techniques are designed for one purpose: to stop an aggressor quickly and effectively.  Teaching formats blend from beginner to advanced by building on a strong, fundamental base of self-defense applications and philosophy.
